Collins, 73, Ursina, died July 4, 2005, at his home. He was born June 8, 1932, in Ohiopyle, a son of the late John R. and Frances (Meyers) Collins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Dale, Ray, John and Charles; and sisters Wilma Collins and Jane Michaels. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann (Bower) Collins; daughters, Pamela S. Miller and husband, Edison, Confluence; Beth Ann Kreger and husband, Terry, Confluence; Roberta Kim David and husband, Donald, Uniontown; Mary Jane Collins, Walterboro, S.C.; and Wilma Kay Nace and husband, Loren, McDonough, Ga.; grandchildren, Amanda Lytle, Edison Miller III, Sara Miller, Michael Kreger, Christina Kreger, Samantha David, Donald David, Lucius Nace, Luther Nace and Elizabeth Nace; and great-grandchildren, Katrina David, Peyton and Payge Lytle. Also, brother, Daniel Jackson Collins, Somerset, and sister, Carole Degelman, College Station, Texas. Mr. Collins is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Ursina American Legion Post 946, a life member of the Confluence Vol. Fire Dept and Community Ambulance Association, of which he also served as dispatcher for more than 25 years. He was a retired postmaster, serving Ursina Borough for 35 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Confluence. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ardelle Mason and the Rev. Dane Cramer officiating. Private interment in Ursina Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to Confluence Vol. Fire Department, American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
