Born in Meyersdale, April 23, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Paul Donald Clutton and Mary Frances Magee. She was married to Henry F. Colvin, who preceded her in death April 30, 1966. She received her A.B. from Ohio Wesleyan and her M.A. from New York University. Mary had taught Speech and Drama for 35 years at: Columbia High School at South Orange, New Jersey, Boswell, and Middleboro, Mass. She had been a member of Slippery Rock United Methodist Church in Slippery Rock. Mary's great-grandfather Zebulon Cooper was the first settler of Butler County. Mary and her sister (Charlotte Friedline) donated 100 acres to Western PA State Conservancy in 1979-1980 known as the ÒWolfÓ Creek Narrows in Slippery Rock Twp., Butler County. Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Church of the Epiphany in Grove City with Reverend Dr. M. Barbara Akin, Vicar officiating. Interment, Slippery Rock Cemetery in Slippery Rock.
