  COMPTON
  
  Eva Mildred Compton, 102, of 708 Oak Dale Road, Salisbury, died July 21,
  2002, at Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born May 25, 1900, in Markleton, a
  daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Peters) Miller.  Also preceded in
  death by her husband, Ward Compton and one son, Samuel Compton.  Survived
  by two sons, John W. Compton and wife, Theresa, Meyersdale, and Jay L.
  Compton and wife, Margaret Hostetler, Salisbury; one daughter, Glenda C.
  Shultz and husband, Roy, Meyersdale; one brother, Wayne Miller; and two
  sisters, Ethel Baker and Eleanor Meager, all of Meyersdale; four
  grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three step grandchildren; and three
  step great-grandchildren.  Member of St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of
  Christ and she was a homemaker.  Friend received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Tuesday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway,
  Salisbury, where service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev Bruce Ashlock
  officiating.  Interment, St. Paul Cemetery.
