  Alvin H. Conn, 73, of Confluence, died Aug. 23, 2002 at Westmoreland
  Regional Hospital, Greensburg.  Born Oct. 31, 1928 in Lower Turkeyfoot
  Township, the son of the late Lester H. and Lucinda Mae (Shroyer) Conn.  In
  addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Thomas and
  sister Jacqueline.  Survived by wife Loretta M. (Sproul) Conn; daughters
  Sheryll Hatfield of Frankfort, Ohio, Teresa Voss of Bellefontaine, Ohio,
  Geraldine Conn of Akron, Ohio, Rebecca Stechschulte of Delaware, Ohio; sons
  Randall of Fairview Park, Ohio, and Gregory of Marysville, Ohio; 11
  grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Pearl Oakman, Laura "Dot"
  Conn, Dana Troup, all of Somerset, Melda Wilson of Confluence, and Kay
  Sabin of Vermilion, Ohio; and brothers Jacob of Lorain, Ohio, Warren "Chub"
  of Confluence and Bernon "Bun" of Somerset.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of
  World War II and Korea.  A member of Confluence VFW Post 7250 and was a
  retired self-employed carpenter.  Friends will be received from noon until
  9 p.m. Sunday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be
  held 11 a.m. Monday, with Pastor James Keslar and Pastor James Sproul
  officiating.  Interment Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, Ohio.
