    Richard E. "Skip" Conn, 73, Confluence, died Aug. 26, 2007, at his home. Born Jan 25,
  1934, in Confluence, the son of Adrian and Phyllis (Rederick) Conn. Preceded in death by
  parents, and an infant sister, Barbara. Survived by his wife, Mildred (Reckner) Conn;
  sons, Douglas and wife, Melissa, Las Vegas; Gerald and wife, Kathy, Confluence; Philip
  and wife, Cindy, Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren;
  sisters, Sara Gallentine and husband, Roger, and Ann Meehan, all of Freedom; and a
  brother, Paul Conn, and wife, Alice, Turtle Creek. A member of the United Transportation
  Union and was employed by the B&O and Chessie Railroad System for 39 years until his
  retirement. A 1952 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School. Friends will be
  received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Thursday at
  the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. The Rev. Paul Werner officiating. Interment Johnson
  Chapel Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Turkeyfoot Valley Baptist
  Church.
