  VELMA CONN
  
    Velma Leona Conn, 60, of Confluence RD 1, died Jan. 6, 1980, at her
  home.  Born Nov. 5, 1919, in Confluence, she was a daughter of the late
  Alex and Sue (Hyatt) Plume.
    She is survived by her husband, Hillery; and two sons, Carl, of Mentor,
  Ohio; and James, of Confluence; four grandchildren.  Also the following
  brothers and sisters: Denzil Plume of Fort Hill; Mrs. Olive Conn of
  Confluence RD; Mrs. Verna Fazenbaker of Shanksville; Mrs. Freda Yaukey of
  Waynesboro; Ruth Anderson of Confluence; and Mrs. Evagene Anderson of New
  York.
    She was preceded in death by son Hillery Jr.; one brother William; and a
  sister Geraldine.
    Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where
  funeral service was held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Bowers
  officiating.  Interment, Jersey Cemetery.
