Conner, 85, of East Main Street, Rockwood, died unexpectedly on Dec. 4, 1987, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 2, 1902, in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Shober and Druscilla (Lichty) Shober Stevens. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Belle Vernon. On June 30, 1930, she married the Rev. Byron Conner, who survives. Rev. Connor has pastored in several of the Pittsburgh district Nazarene churches. Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Mosgrove, Conneaut, Ohio; Mrs. Manus (Marlene) Haywood, Mather; Mrs. Forrest (Lois) Cottle, Jefferson; one son, Danny B. Conner, Rockwood; one sister, Alwilda Atchison, Houston; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 12-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-9 p.m. Monday at the William E. Speakman Funeral Home, Ltd., 27 Cherry Ave., Houston. Also after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the First Church of the Nazarene, North Main Street, Washington, Pa., where services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roy Fuller, district superintendent of the Nazarene Church, Pittsburgh area, officiating. Also officiating, the Rev. Russel Merriman and the Rev. Edward Thornton.
