CONWAY William Benjamin Conway, 71, a former ticket agent for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad at Rockwood and Ohiopyle, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 4, at his home in Rockwood, after an illness of about two years. After retiring from the railroad service Mr. Conway entered the retail gasoline business and was seriously burned two years ago by a gasoline explosion. He was a member of the Meyersdale Lodge No. 554, F. & A. M., Pittsburgh Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine of Altoona. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minerva Conway, a daughter, Mrs. J. Arthur Stotler, Cumberland, Md.; two grandchildren, Margaret Stotler, at home, and John Stotler, now in an officers training school at Aberdeen, Md.; one brother, Frank W. Conway, Duquesne and a sister, Mrs. Laura Sigler, Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services were held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at the Conway home with the Rev. J. C. Moses, pastor of the Rockwood United Brethren Church, assisted by the Rev. D. N. Clampa, former pastor, officiating. Burial in the Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Mills and Mickey, Rockwood morticians. Meyersdale Republican, October 8, 1942
