Cook, 82, formerly of Glencoe, died Jan. 26, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare-Meyersdale Manor. Born Oct. 3, 1920 in Meyersdale, she is the daughter of Daniel and Emma (Ohler) Glessner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob Cook (May 2000); sisters Anna. Cananico and Grace Panaro; brothers Charles, Oscar and William Glessner. Surviving is a sister Anna Sutton, Meyersdale and many nieces and nephews. For many years Alice and Bob owned and operated the former Cook's Store which was located along the road to Glencoe Northampton Township. Alice was a member and former Sunday School teacher of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She was also a graduate of Meyersdale High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. Joseph Onder officiating.
