      Alice R. Cook, 88 of Rocky Mount, NC, formerly of Garrett, died May 11, 2008 at the
  Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.
      She was born July 15, 1919 in Garrett, daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Grace
  (Hoover) Ray Sr. Also preceded in death by her husband Ray M. Cook; brother Harry Ray
  Jr.; and sister Hazel Gillette.
      Alice is survived by two children: James R. Cook Sr. and his wife Grace, Nashville,
  NC; and Chyrrl R. wife of Jeff Hanna, Lakeland, FL. Also six grandchildren, five great
  grandchildren and numerous nieces.
      Friends were received on Thursday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale. Services were
  conducted at 11 a.m. Friday under the direction of the Somerset Congregation of Jehovah's
  Witnesses.  Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale.
