Cook, 81, died Thursday May 21, 1987, at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 4, 1905,in Somerset, he was the son of the late Nannie (Brubaker) and Jacob Cook. He was a service station operator in Somerset, later moving to Pittsburgh where he was a fuel oil distributor for the Humble Oil Co. He was a member of Somerset Lodge 358, F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite, Pittsburgh, and a 32nd Degree Mason. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth J. (Montgomery) in 1976. Survived by a son, Theodore W. Cook; two daughters, Carole Vandall, and Sandra Haschak, all of Pittsburgh; a sister, Beulah Rich of Toledo, Ohio; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends received 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the William F. Gross Funeral Home, 11735 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.
