COOK Harry Ellsworth Cook, 55, of near Hyndman, died Sunday, January 2, in Allegany Hospital, Cumberland. He was a native of Wellersburg, a son of the late Jesse J. and Belle Long Cook, and had been a well-known farmer. He was a member of the Pentecostal church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Frances Rizer Cook; five sons, Jesse Cook of Gray, Albert E. Cook of Ellerslie, Harry E. Cook Jr., Robert and Paul Cook, all at home; five daughters, Mrs. Marian Little of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Bertha Emerick of Fairhope, Blanche, Darlene and Florence Cook, at home; a brother, Bruce C. Cook of Hyndman, and three sisters, Mrs. Pearle McDonald of Bowling Green, Mrs. Viola Landis of Hyndman, and Mrs. Bertha Cook, Ellerslie. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock in the Evangelical church, Wellersburg, with the Rev. Charles Raley and the Rev. George Bittner officiating. Burial was made in the Cook cemetery near Wellersburg. Meyersdale Republican, January 6, 1949
