  Lester E. Cook, 72, of Country Club Road RD 9, Box 404, died Jan. 24, 1982
  in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  He was born in Meyersdale and was a
  son of the late Charles W. Cook and Laura Alice (Boyer) Cook.  He was a
  retired grounds supervisor for the Cumberland Country Club with 34 years'
  service.  He was a member of Cumberland Aerie 245, FOEagles, and Melvin
  United Methodist Church.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Genevieve E.
  (Zollner) Cook; two sons, Joseph E. Cook, Cumberland: William L. Cook, Fort
  Washington, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Idella Malamphy, Schellsburg; Miss
  Janice Cook, Laurel, Md.; two brothers, Harold Cook, Cumberland; Virgil
  Cook, Bedford; three sisters, Mrs. Myrna Johnson, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs.
  Leona Morgan and Mrs. Nellie Dom, both of Cumberland and six grandchildren.
  Friends were received at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence.  Services were
  conducted in the funeral residence by the Rev. John L. Ford.  Interment will
  be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
