C. Cook, where he had been taken from a Cumberland hospital after several weeks of treatment. Mr. Cook's death was attributed to a complication of diseases. He was born March 3, 1851, and died at the age of 81 years. Undertaker J. M. Johnson of Berlin, prepared the body for burial, at the J. C. Cook home, where it reposed in state until Wednesday, when taken to the family home in Hyndman. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, in the Hyndman Evangelical Church, at 2:30 o'clock, by the Rev. M. V. Kelly, pastor. Interment will be made in the Hyndman Union Cemetery. Mr. Cook is survived by the following children: J. C. Cook, of Cumberland; J. B. Cook, of Meyersdale; Walter C. Cook, of Salisbury; William D., Noah C. and George L. Cook, of Hyndman, Mrs. C. W. Smouse, of Bedford; also sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Daniel Cook, of Millport, Pa., Henry Cook, of Jennerstown; one sister, Mrs. Abraham Sanders, White, Pa.
