Born Nov. 24, 1905, in Johnstown. Son of the late William Frank and Rosella Mae (Orner) Cooper. Also preceded by first wife, the former Thelma Vicroy, and his second wife, the former Hazel F. Whipkey. Also two brothers, Perry and Robert, and sister, Viola Putt. Survived by these children: Miss Betty Mae Cooper and Herman F. Cooper Jr., both of Avon Lake, Ohio. Also three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Russell D. Cooper, Baldwin, N.Y., and Harold P. Cooper and Mrs. Velma Clark, both of Johnstown. Retired Stores Keeper for PennDOT. Member of First United Methodist Church; Somerset Lodge #358, F.& A.M.; Pittsburgh Consistory, Jaffa Shrine and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 127 of Johnstown. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday (today) and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen, officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
