Corden, 79, Milo Kimmel Road, Friedens, Died June 3, 2008, at his home. Born March 26, 1929, in Ralphton, the son of Joseph and Nicollette (Zolla) Corden. Preceded in death by parents; son, Jeffrey Corden; sisters, Lena Morgan, Grace Kursch and Josephine Andrejewski; brother, Samuel Corden; and stepbrother, Ross Marone. Survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Dorothy H. Charlton; children, Steven, married to the former Kathryn Walker, Hooversville; Kathy Corden, Boswell; Mark Corden, Married to the former Jean Spencer, Stoystown; Douglas Corden, at home; Lisa Corden, Davidsville; And Georgia, married to Rick Meehleib, Stoystown; grandchildren, Stacy, Chuck, Ben, Richie, Mario, Nichole, Rosalee, Kristie and Melissa; seven great- grandchildren; sister, Rose, married to John Stadter, Baltimore; and brother, Dominick Corden, Ralphton. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired employee of Latrobe Steel Corp. with 34 years of service. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, where he served as usher for many years. Member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club and Jerome Post 802, American Legion. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and family vacations. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell, where a vigil for the deceased will be held 3 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta. The Rev. Father Karl Kolodziejski, OFM Conv., celebrant. Committal Mount Carmel Cemetery, near Jennerstown with military honors by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
