Corliss Sr., 84, of Swanton, Md., formerly of Somerset, died Aug. 3, 1972 in Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Md. Born Feb. 8, 1888 in Boston, Mass. Preceded in death by his parents Frank F. and Della Robbins Corliss, and wife Catherine C. Loughery. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret W. Filer, Midlothian, Md., and Mrs. Stella C. Carroll, Uniontown; one son, Frank R. Corliss Jr., Swanton RD 2; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a 1912 graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute; in 1922 was employed by the Charles B. Holly Co. as head engineer for construction of Deep Creek Lake, Md. In 1935 he joined Pennsylvania Electric Co., retired in 1954 and from 1954 to 1971 was a Pennsylvania Electric Co. representative in Deep Creek County.
