  CORNELL
  
  Leah Cornell, 92, West Union Street, Somerset, died April 12, 1983, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 16, 1891, in Somerset Township,
  Washington County, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Hanna (Pepper)
  Walker.  Preceded in death by her husband, I.A. Cornell.  She is survived
  by a sister, Naomi Hampson Halstead, McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray; a
  brother, Joseph D. Walker, Houston, Texas; a number of nieces and
  nephews.  She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, United
  Methodist Women and Trinity Chapter 138, Order of the Eastern Star. 
  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, in Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home.  Funeral services Thursday 11 a.m. in Calvary
  United Methodist Church, the Rev. Harry C. Sherry officiating.  Interment,
  Washington (Pa.) Cemetery.  Body will lie in state in the church from 10
  a.m. Thursday until the hour of the service.  Trinity Chapter 138, Order of
  the Eastern Star, will conduct memorial services Wednesday 7 p.m in the
  funeral home.
