"Betty" Walker Cotter, 61, of Berlin RD 1, died Jan. 15, 1982, at home. She was born July 13, 1920, in Stonycreek Township, a daughter of Carrie (Shank) Custer of Stoystown RD 3 and the late Frank Custer. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Walker, and an infant daughter. She is survived by her husband, Carl M. Cotter Sr.; a son, Lynn of Santee, Calif; step-son Carl Cotter Jr. of Berlin; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was a sister of Mrs. Otto (Gladys) Wilt, John, Richard and Robert, all of Stoystown RD 3, and Kenneth of Shanksville. She was a former employee of Shanksville-Stonycreek school cafeteria. Member of Brotherton Church of the Brethren and Women's Fellowship. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to the Brotherton Church of the Brethren to lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. services on Monday with the Rev. Wayne D. Sautter officiating.
