Born Dec. 27, 1909, in Shade Township. Daughter of Elmer and Cora (Pebley) Zimmerman. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, George Cassady; brothers: Ray, Ira and Guy Zimmerman, and infant sister. Survived by her husband, Carl Cotter Sr.; sons: Jay W. Cassidy, married to the former Mary Belle West of Stoystown RD 3, and Barry Lee Cassady, married to the former Sharon Summers, Manassas, Va.; three grandchildren, a stepson, Carl Cotter Jr., married to the former Mary Ann Ringler of Berlin; 11 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren. Sister of Edna Wagner of Berlin and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren and International Ladies Garment Union. Worked for 22 years for Dorfman-Hoffman Manufacturing, Boswell, and was a former secretary of the Somerset County Burial Association. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing at Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Rev. Timothy Resh. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
