  MARY COUCHENOUR
  
    Mary E. Couchenour, 96, of Vincennes, Ind., died Wednesday, Sept. 18,
  1996, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
    Born Jan. 11, 1900, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of George and
  Elizabeth (May) Hillegas.
    A homemaker, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church,
  Speedster Club and the Homebuilders Club.
    She is survived by two sons: Paul Couchenour of Vincennes, Ind.; and
  Joseph Couchenour of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
    Her husband, the Rev. H. M. Couchenour, whom she married July 26, 1926,
  died May 8, 1982.  Six brothers are also deceased.
    Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church, with the
  Rev. Robert Ostermeir officiating.  Burial followed in Memorial Park
  Cemetery, Vincennes, Ind.
    Visitation was held at Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes.
