He had been in poor health for two years. Surviving are his wife, and the following children: Mrs. Harry Glessner, Newell, N.J.; Mrs. Charles Manges, Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Walter Johnson, Canton, O. Thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive, as well as two sisters, Mrs. Jane Burkett, Turtle Creek, and Julia Coughenour, Somerset, and a brother, S. G. Coughenour, Glen Savage. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Monday afternoon in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church near Glen Savage, Rev. H. M. Petrea, pastor, officiating. Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Son, Berlin. Meyersdale Republican, May 7, 1942
