  COUGHENOUR
  
  Jay Coughenour, 91, 263 5th St., Jerome, died unexpectedly May 6, 1990, at
  home.  Born Dec. 1, 1898, in Fairhope Township, son of John and Tillie
  (Platt) Coughenour.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Viola
  Mae Miller, who died in 1940; daughter Helen; sister, Margaret; brothers,
  Edgar, Fred, Verl and Lee.  Survived by these children: Karl M., married to
  former Betty J. Sipe, Hollsopple RD 1; Barby Lou, wife of James Webreck,
  Berlin RD 3, and Donald J., married to the former Carol Ann Stuffier,
  Binghamton, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.  Retired mine
  foreman from former Hillman Coal and Coke Co., Jerome.  Oldest resident of
  Jerome.  Last member of immediate family.  Friends received from 7 to 9
  p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Pastors
  Pat and Chris Ramsay officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
