Coughenour, 79, a resident of the Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, formerly of Berlin, died Feb. 24, 1980, in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. She was born Nov. 28, 1900, in Northampton Township, a daughter of the late John and Tillie (Platt) Coughenour. She was preceded in death by three brothers. She is survived by two brothers, Jay of Jerome and Lee of Seanor. She was a teacher in Berlin schools for 44 years. She was a member of the First Brethren Church, Berlin; Berlin Fire Department Auxiliary; Lady Berlin Rebekah Lodge; and very active in affairs at the Church of the Brethren Home. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
