Coughenour, 68, of 703 South St., Berlin, died suddenly Nov. 26, 1987, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Glen Savage, a son of Leroy and Mae (Egolf) Coughenour. Preceded in death by parents and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife, the former Claudine Shroyer, and these children: John of Berlin RD 4; Leanna at home; James, married to former Tammy Sarver, Berlin RD 1; and a foster daughter, Mrs. James (Barbara) Sarver, Berlin. Also 10 grandchildren. He was a brother of Winmer and Floyd, both of Fairhope RD 1; Donald of Meyersdale; Robert of Berlin; Mrs. Rayman (Evelyn) Poland of Willard, Ohio; and Janet of Somerset. He was a retired carpenter. He was an Army-Air Force veteran of World War II, and a member of Harry Fisher Post No. 445, American Legion, Berlin. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Ralph E.
