  JAMES E. COUNIHAN
  
    James E. Counihan, 69, of West Salisbury, died Dec. 27, 1981, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    He was born Aug. 9, 1912, in Scottdale, son of the late Howard and Grace
  (Wetmiller) Counihan.
    He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Dunlap of Euclid, Ohio; and
  Mrs. Mary A. Augenstein of Castle Shannon; also two brothers, George B.,
  Bethel Park; and Thomas F., Salisbury.  He was a retired researcher with
  the U.S. Naval Ordinance Department.  He was a member of St. Michael's
  Catholic Church, Salisbury.
    Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.  Mass of the
  Christian Burial was held at St. Michael's Church, the Rev. Joseph F.
  Gaborek Jr. officiating.  Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery.
