Countryman, 52, of Rockwood RD 2, died June 10, 1975, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1922, in Ava, Mo., he was a son of Luther and Ada Bowers Countryman Shrum. Surviving are his mother of Madera, Calif.; his wife, the former Martha Mognet; two sons, Jack D. Countryman, with the U.S. Navy, Chesapeake, Va.; and Gene L., also with the U.S. Navy, located in Gulfport, Miss.; one brother, Arthur of Somerset RD 4; and two sisters, Altha Mae Spencer and Ruth Dobbs, both of Madera, Calif.; and two half-sisters, Mabel Rush, of Sewickley; and Evelyn Geier, of Fredonia, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his father and one half-brother. Mr. Countryman was a member of Kingwood Church of God and the Carpenters Union Local 2274. Funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon in William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Rev. Paul Tobias officiating. Interment in Barron Lutheran Church Cemetery.
