Countryman, 48, Garrett (Brothersvalley Township), died April 29, 2005, on Lincoln Highway in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County. Born Jan. 13, 1957, in Meyersdale, the son of the late Harry and Louise (Bittner) Countryman. Survived by his wife of 27 years, the former Jane Custer; a son, Alex at home; a brother, Harry and wife, Randi, LaVale, Md. and in-laws, Don and Nancy Custer, Berlin. He was a maintenance electrician for North American Hoganas, Hollsopple. He was a member of the United Steel Workers, Local 02632 and the Quemahoning Trap & Field Club. He was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School class of 1974 and enjoyed hunting and training dogs. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.
