Born Jan. 13, 1918, in Stonycreek Township, Somerset, a daughter of Norbert and Ida (Landis) Duppstadt. On May 15, 1943 she married James R. Frenz, who died March 31, 1984. She then married Arvid B. Cox on March 17, 1995, who died June 11, 2001. Also preceded in death by son, Kevin Douglas Frenz and one brother, Emmett D. Duppstadt. Surviving are four stepsons: Roger Cox, McDonald; Dennis Cox, McMurray; Daniel Cox, Joffre; and Kevin Cox, Canonsburg; three stepgrandchildren, Jim, Wyatt and Travis Cox; a nephew, Robert Duppstadt and family, Lois, Karen, Rhonda and Robert Jr.; niece, Leslie Mills and family, John, John Jr., Kayla, all of Somerset County. Mrs. Cox was a member of Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church, and a life member of the Jefferson College Historical Society. She belonged to several bridge clubs and a bowling team. She was a 1938 graduate of Duff's Iron City College, Pittsburgh. She and her first husband owned and operated Triangle Radio and Television, in Dormont until they retired in 1981. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Bogan Funeral Homes Inc., 164 W. Pike St., Canonsburg. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church, Canonsburg. The Rev. Donald C. Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Chartiers Hill U.P. Cemetery.
