Mrs. Cozzens was born in Huntingdon County, Pa., Feb. 20, 1856. In 1882 she was married to Hiram Cozzens who died 35 years ago and is buried at Johnstown. To this union were born four children, three of whom are dead. Mrs. Mary E. Baer, wife of W. P. Baer of Meyersdale, survives, together with 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Emma Whitwer, of Philadelphia, and one brother, Isaac Gorsuch of Millcreek, Pa. For many years Mrs. Cozzens was a member of the Presbyterian church, but when her youngest daughter married a Methodist minister, she united with that church. For a number of years she was housekeeper for the Kendall Lumber Company at Crellin, Md., when that town was an active sawmill village. When her health became impaired she gave up her work and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Baer, but a few years ago, after her sight was almost completely gone and her health was such that she needed careful nursing she was admitted to the County Hospital, where she passed away after a lingering illness. Undertaker W. C. Price removed the body to his funeral chapel where funeral services will be conducted on Friday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. W. T. Robinson, pastor of the local Methodist Church. Interment will be made in the Lichty Cemetery at Summit Mills. Meyersdale Republican, May 19, 1932
