Crawford, who died at Mount Pleasant, Mich., on April 14th, arrived here early Saturday morning, April 18, and was removed to Somerfield, his former home, for funeral services. Hamilton J. Crawford was born March 21st, 1884, in Somerset County, Pa., and lived 47 years and 23 days. He died after a month's illness, from cancer. He was married in 1906 to Miss Myrtle Havner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sol J. Havner, of near Confluence. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Glen L. VanSickle of Oakland, Md., and Arnold H., Theodore R., Leah Belle, Nelle Maxine, Elmer R. and Ida Mae, all at home. He is also survived by four grandchildren. One child died about eighteen months ago. Mr. Crawford had been employed by the Pure Oil Pipe Line Company for 14 years, 12 years at the pumping station at Watson, Pa., and since that time at Mount Pleasant, Mich. Funeral services were held at Somerfield on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the Addison Cemetery. The services at the grave were in charge of Addison Lodge No. 390, Knights of Pythias, of which he was a member. Meyersdale Republican, April 30, 1931
