SAMUEL A. CRAWFORD

  Samuel Artis Crawford, 68, died Thursday night in the Connellsville Hospital, 
following a heart attack.  He was employed in the rubber works near Vanderbilt 
where he lived.  Formerly he lived in this community and was employed at the 
Laurel Mine.
  His wife, Mary Hiles Crawford, preceded him in death 18 years ago.  He is 
survived by one brother, William, living in Uniontown.  A sister, Mrs. Jennie 
Boyd, died the day following her brother's funeral.
  Funeral services were held in the Humbert Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, Rev. 
Henry Knoell officiating.  Interment was made in the Johnson Chapel cemetery.
