  CRAWFORD
  
  Sara Crawford, 79, of North Edgewood Avenue, Somerset, died Jan. 17, 1997
  in Somerset Hospital.  Born May 22, 1917 in Somerset County, daughter of
  the late Irvin and Carrie (Stern) Hoffman.  Preceded in death by her
  husband, Fred Stahl; and a number of brothers and sisters.  Survived by her
  husband, Harold Crawford; one son, Larry Stahl of Somerset; two daughters:
  Dorla Thompson of San Francisco, Calif.; Loraine, wife of John Van dee Vat
  of Baltimore, Md.; one stepson, Harold Crawford Jr. of Hawthorn; eight
  grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Emert
  of Somerset.  Member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical Lutheran Church, but
  attended Somerset Church of God.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m.
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service
  will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.  Rev. M.D. Herring officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
