Cresswell, 81, of Somerset, passed away July 1, 1999, at the residence of her daughter in Camp Hill. Born July 14, 1917, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a daughter of the late Elmer and Stella (Nichol) Sanner. Preceded in death by husband, Lee Cresswell in 1959; sisters, Cora Gary, Melda Phillippi and Gladys Peters; and brothers, Frank, Orville and Oscar Sanner. Survived by daughters, Barbara (married to Elwood D.) Turney of Akron, Ohio, Karen (married to Willis D.) Shields of Camp Hill, and Patricia (married to John) Nicklow of Somerset. Also grandchildren Brian Cresswell Sr., Shannon, Scott and Cara Shields; and great-grandchildren Brian Jr., Brianna and Dalton Cresswell. Sister of Alta Phillippi of Rockwood and Ethel Kimmel of Somerset. Member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Somerset, where she was a member of the Bible Study Group and participated in the Food Pantry. She was the owner of the Kimberly Cafe in Somerset from 1959 to 1979. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Pastor Robert Hoover officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
