Born Dec. 6, 1913, in Jefferson Township, son of William Austin and Nellie Jane (Hoffman) Crise. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Olive Dorothy Lavan, who died Aug. 23, 1986; brother, Ernest Crise, two sisters, Ruth King and Marie Barclay. Survived by brother, Roy A. Crise, married to the former Wilma Beck, Somerset. Member of Pike Run Church of the Brethren. World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served with Company C 110th Infantry 28th Division. Laborer for Jefferson Township, retiring in 1976. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev.
