He was born Nov. 19, 1911, in Jefferson Township, a son of William Austin and Nellie Jane (Hoffman) Crise. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Ernest and Emerson Crise and sisters Ruth King and Marie Barclay. Survived by his wife, the former Wilma Viola Beck of Somerset, to whom he was married for 66 years; children Wayne E. Crise, married to the former Ilse Stehr of Somerset, Mrs. C. William (Lois) Beal of Irwin, Mrs. Grace Irons of Bonnets Ferry, Idaho, Marlin C.J. Crise, married to the former Darlene Maust of Somerset and Mrs. Clarke (Diann) Romesberg of Loveland, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. Member of Pike Run Church of the Brethren and Laurel Ridge Sportsmen's Association. He was a retired employee of the former P&A Appliance of Somerset. He was a long time Jefferson Township farmer. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, with the Rev. Brian N. Simmons officiating.
