    Irene May (McDaniel) Crislip, 87, Glen Burnie, Md., formerly of Davidsville, died June
  26, 2008, at Baltimore - Washington Medical Center. Born May 12, 1921, in Soap Hollow,
  daughter of William S. and Annie C. (Shull) McDaniel. Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Lewis W., on March 20, 1959; son, Barry E. McDaniel, on Feb. 23, 1999; infant
  sister, Annie; sister, Gladys Devine; and brothers, Lester, Merle, Lloyd, Lee, Roy,
  Arthur, Foster and Clyde. Survived by sons, Alvin W., married to Bernetta Gisewhite,
  Gambrills, Md.; and Arnold J., married to Sharon Marconi, Fredericksburg, Va.;
  daughter-in-law, Linda (Fowler) McDaniel, Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and 17
  great-grandchildren. Member of "Unite Here," formerly the ILGWU, and the Tire Hill Church
  of the Brethren. Retired garment worker with about 30 years of service. Following
  retirement, she was employed by Green Thumb of Pennsylvania for several years. Viewing
  will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109
  Church Road, Davidsville, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Frank
  Young officiating. Interment Stahl Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may
  be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA
  15222.
