Greenville Township farmer, died suddenly Sunday at his home. He was a son of Nelson and Lucinda (Farber) Crissinger, and was born in Somerset County. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Tillie B. (Bittner) Crissinger, a daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Murray, and a son, Howard Crissinger, both of Greenville Township, and Harvey J. Miller, nephew and foster son, at home. Five grandchildren survive. He also leaves his aged mother, Mrs. Lucinda Crissinger, a bright and active woman of 83 years, who resides at the Crissinger home. Services were held at 2:30 Wednesday in the White Oak Evangelical Church by Rev. G. O. Bishop and Rev. Rhodes of the Church of the Brethren. Burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Crissinger was one of the outstanding and successful farmers of the county. He was a very jovial man, always smiling and liked by everyone. Many floral tributes and a large attendance at his funeral on one of the coldest days of this winter attested of the many friendships he enjoyed. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1941
