Crissinger, 79, of Meyersdale RD 3, died Aug. 6, 1983 at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. He was born Dec. 4, 1903, in Larimer Township, son of the late Elmer and Lilly (Bittner) Crissinger. He is survived by widow, former Minerva (Mazer), son, Harold L., Meyersdale RD 4; two daughters, Lois M., wife of late Dean Tomb, Johnstown; and Joyce, wife of Marty Staub, Olney, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Murray, of Meyersdale RD 3; and 5 grandchildren, Jeff Crissinger, Mrs. Kathy Newman, Deana Tomb, David Staub, and Camisue Staub. He was a retired Western Maryland train dispatcher with 42 years of service; operated a farm in Greenville Township; member of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, where he was a member of church council and church treasurer; Sergeant of arms of Meyersdale Rotary Club. Friends were received at Leckemby Funeral Home. Services were held at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gene Abel officiating. Interment, White Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to church memorial fund.
