(Romesberg) Critchfield, 87, Elyria, Ohio, died June 9, 2004, at her home following a short illness. Mrs. Critchfield was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Rockwood and was an Elyria resident since 1987. Preceded in death by her son, William Critchfield in 1989; parents, Ernest and Dora (Baker) Romesberg; half sister, Mildred Ferrell; half brother, Gene Humbert and stepsisters, Catherine Walter and Helen Rice. Survivors include her daughter, Nan Brown, Lagrange, Ohio; four granddaughters, two great-grandchildren; half sisters, Frances Dynmyer, Somerset, and Zola Clark, Norfolk, Va.; half brother Jim Humbert, Somerset; and stepsister, Leona Long, Johnstown. She was employed in the accounting department by Greyhound Bus Lines in Cleveland for 22 years, retiring in 1978. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Laubenthal-DeCarlo Funeral Home, 257 Washington Ave., Elyria, Ohio.
