Critchfield, 92, Somerset, died June 27, 2005, at The Patriot. Born Oct. 9, 1912, in Somerset Township, she is the daughter of the late Silas W. and Sarah Elizabeth (Claycomb) Bittner. Also preceded in death by husband, Morris H. Critchfield; children: Edwin, Mary Jane Curtis and Geraldine Fisher; grandchildren: Robert Fisher and Eric Critchfield; brothers and sisters: Ida Marie Bittner, Blanche Baker, Margaret Bittner, Estella Dolce, Florence Novison, Lorene Heinbaugh, Lois Snellbaker, George Bittner, Edmond Bittner, Simon Bittner and Harold Bittner; sons-in-law: Kenneth Fisher, Richard Curtis and Thomas Archer. Survived by sister Rebecca Uhas, Sarasota Fla.; children: Pauline Critchfield, Friedens, Marjorie Walker, Lancaster, Carolyn Archer, Midlothian, Texas, Gloria Critchfield, Somerset, Fred Critchfield, Carrollton, Texas, Judy Moore, Carlisle, Richard Critchfield, Somerset and George Critchfield, Friedens; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Member of Somerset Christian Fellowship. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service 10 a.m. Friday in the Somerset Christian Fellowship. The Rev. William Dodson officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
