  Charles Elwood "Chiz" Critchfield, 85, of Rockwood died Aug. 22, 2002 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 7, 1916 in Rockwood.  Son of Clarence Edgar
  "Obb" and Zepha Mae (Beck) Critchfield.  Preceded in death by parents, and
  wife Marie "Doll" Pritts who died in 1982.  Survived by daughter Mrs, Paul
  C. (Charmaine) Gary of Somerset; grandchildren, Mrs. Randy (Celeste)
  Zambanini of Somerset, Miss Penny Gary and fiance Brian Wahl of Somerset,
  Mrs. Marlin (Angel) Stanczyk of Somerset; Paul Charles Gary and wife Breezy
  of Somerset; Bradley E. Gary and fiancee Julie McKenzie of Somerset; two
  great-grandchildren, Trevor A. Zambanini and Marlee M. Stanczyk, and sister
  Mrs. L. John (Dorothy "Mandy") Livengood of Somerset.  Member of Christ
  United Methodist Church in Rockwood.  A 1934 graduate of Rockwood High
  School.  A 1938 graduate of Penn State University.  Veteran of World War II
  where he served as 1st Lt. B24 Bomber Pilot 19th Squadron, 22nd Bomb Group
  Pacific Theatre.  Retired rural mail carrier for the Rockwood Post
  Office.  Also owned and operated Obb's Mens Store in Rockwood.  Past
  Rockwood School Board member.  Also member of Masonic Lodge 358 of
  Somerset, Harrisburg Consistory, Rockwood Fire Co., FOE Aerie 1801 of
  Somerset, VFW Post 554 of Somerset, American Legion Post 279 in Rockwood,
  and Meyersdale Elk Lodge 1591.  Past president of the Rockwood Rotary
  Club.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at
  10 a.m.-Monday with the Rev. Randall W. Bain and Rev. Sherman Berkey
  officiating.  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.  Contributions may be made
  to the Rockwood Fire Department, Main Street, Rockwood, Pa. 15557, or the
  Rockwood Rotary Club, in care of Brad Long, 3 Winter Way, Champion, Pa.
