  Daniel Z. "Skip" Critchfeld Jr., 70, of Laurel Falls, Meyersdale, died Oct.
  17, 1998 at Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born Sept. 11, 1928 in Rockwood, a
  son of the late Daniel Z. and Effie M. (Marker) Critchfield.  Also preceded
  in death by two brothers, William C. Critchfield and Mark Critchfield. 
  Survived by sister-in-law, Mary W. Critchfield, Florida; and the following
  the nieces and nephews: Patricia A. Grew, Barbara Critchfield, John E.
  Critchfield, Nancy J. Starr, Rex Critchfield, Karen Elliot and Eloise
  Kearse.  Also four great-nephews, five great-nieces, and special friends. 
  He was a co-owner of William B. Anderson Auto Parts, Meyersdale, prior to
  his retirement.  Veteran U.S. Army.  Member of Laurel Falls Association,
  Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department, and the American Legion Post 112. 
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Price
  Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  A private service will be held at the
  convenience of the family, with Pastor John Yoder officiating.  In lieu of
  flowers, memorials may be made to the Somerset Unit of the American Cancer
  Society or the Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department.
