  CRITCHFIELD
  
  Donald W. Critchfield, 62, of Vineland, N.J., formerly of Garrett, died
  June 24, 2002 in Atlantic City Medical Center, Pomona.  Don was born and
  raised in Summit Township, near Garrett.  A son of Hazel (Glotfelty)
  Critchfield, Meyersdale, and the late John W. Critchfield.  Also survived
  by his wife, the former Janet Weigel; a son, Stephen Critchfield, Freehold,
  N.J., and four grandchildren: Stephanie, John, Bobby, and Daniel.  A brother
  of Richard Critchfield of Michigan, and Thomas Critchfield of Berlin.  Also
  survived by his aunt Pauline Spear, Berlin; and his uncle Robert Glotfelty,
  Berlin.  He resided in Vineland since 1965.  He was a graduate of California
  State College and received his masters degree from Glassboro State
  College.  Don was a 38-year employee of the Vineland Board of Education. 
  He started his teaching career at the Landis School and finished at the
  9-10 Building where he taught World History and Social Studies for 25
  years.  He was a guidance counselor for the after school program.  He was
  an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Vineland, where he
  served as Chief Lay officer of the congregation, chairperson of the Ministry
  support staff committee, deacon and past vice president of the Church
  Council.  He also served on the Little Acres Board of Directors.  He was a
  member of the NEA and the NJEA.  He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan and
  held a season ticket since 1974.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  Service will be conducted at
  11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Meyersdale, with the
  Rev. Joseph Onder officiating.  Interment, Center Church Cemetery,
  Garrett.  A visitation and service will be conducted at the Pancoast
  Funeral Home in Vineland, N.J. on Thursday.  Memorials may be made to the
  Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 2384 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, N.J. 08361.
