Born Oct. 1, 1922, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Josephine (Browning) Englehart. Mrs. Critchfield was also preceded in death by her husband, Marker M. Crichfield, on April 16, 1997; a brother, Ted Englehart; and a sister, Lois McCarter. She is survived by a son, Rex Critchfield, Mesa, Ariz.; daughters: Eloise (Mrs. Tom) Kearse, Marshall, Ark.; and Karen (Mrs. William) Elliott, Butler; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, William Englehart, Doylestown, Pa., and a sister [ ] Business College, Philadelphia, in 1949; and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelors degree in education in 1969. She was a member of the Worthington Lutheran Church, where she had been choir director and organist. She was a volunteer for the Worthington Community Library and gave private piano lessons for years. In 1978, Mrs. Critchfield received the [ ] teacher for the Armstrong School District for 24 years, retiring in 1983. A private burial service was held at the Worthington Lutheran Cemetery.
