  Dorothy Elizabeth Crosby, 87, Morganton, N.C., formerly of Somerset died
  Jan. 1, 2001 at Grace Heights Nursing Center, Morganton, N.C.  Born June 6,
  1913 in Coffeyville, Kan.  Daughter of Benjamin Leslie and Dona Gay
  (Anderson) Gamble.  Preceded in death by parents, husband James Leroy
  Crosby who died Sept. 4, 1991; two brothers Burton and Walker Gamble, and
  sister Opal Farmer.  Survived by children: Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Luke,
  Jackson. Ala.; Mrs. Ross T. L. (Diane) Palmer, Lancaster, Ohio; Mrs. Bobby
  Lee (Sandra) Roberts, of Morganton, N.C.  Also 10 grandchildren and five
  great-grandchildren.  Member of Salem United Methodist Church, Morganton,
  N.C., and Somerset County Artists Association.  Friends received from 9 to
  11 a.m. Friday, the time of service at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset, Rev. Robert G. Doyle officiating.  Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.
