  Frene Cross, 61, of Gray, died March 21, 1975, in Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born in Somerset County April 19, 1913, a daughter of Carrie
  Menser Berkey and the late Lewis Berkey.  Preceded in death by one sister,
  Eileen Adams.  Survived by one daughter, Patricia Parker, Cortland, Ohio;
  one grandson, Gary Phillips; and one sister, Emaline Bridges, Pittsburgh. 
  Owned and operated Ferne's Grocery in Gray.  Friends will be received after
  2 p.m. today (Saturday) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where
  service will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Paul P. Weber
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
