Crouse of the Western Union Telegraph Company at Somerset died recently. She had suffered for the past two months with acute indigestion, but the gravity of her ailment did not seem to be appreciated by people in general who were close friends and therefore they were greatly shocked to learn of her sudden death. Mrs. Crouse was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Shafer of Somerset and she is survived by two brothers, John and Arlington Shafer, the following sisters - Mrs. M. W. Rigdon, Mrs. E. H. Phillips and Miss Ruby Shafer; also by the following children: Edgor Lynn, Frederick James and Marie Etta. The deceased was a woman of highest character, a devoted wife and mother.
