  CROWE
  
  George A. Crowe, 76, Somerset, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 1999. 
  Born Oct 24, 1922, in Oakland, Md.  Son of the late Jonas and Mary Martha
  (Beeghley) Crowe.  Also preceded in death by a grandson.  Survived by wife,
  the former Lenore Elizabeth Sweitzer, to whom married 54 years, and these
  children: Mrs. Joseph (Pamela De Lynn) Vergona of Union City, Pa.; J.
  Carter Crowe, married to the former Darlene Mix, of Somerset; Nelson W.G.
  Crowe, married to the former Patricia M. Henkels, of Rockwood; Mrs. Michael
  (Jenifer) Kotch of Lancaster; foster daughter, Mrs. Owen (Carrie) Hoover of
  Salisbury; also 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Brother of
  Ervin Ross Crowe of Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Kenneth (Blanche) Gornall of
  Martinsburg, W.Va.  Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ; 1939
  graduate of Oakland (Md.) High School.  Attended Bridgewater College in
  Virginia; retired in 1985 as a carpenter for the Westinghouse Electric
  Corp. with 17 years of service.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset.  Memorial services
  will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ,
  Gray, with the Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating.  Interment, Sipesville
  Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice 1590 N.
  Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
