CROWE Kenneth Orvel Crowe, 69, of 300 Indian Head Avenue, Indian Head, Charles County, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1987, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Washington, D.C. Born in Grantsville, Md., he was a son of the late Orvel P. and Leota E. (Pope) Crowe. He formerly resided in Cumberland, Md., where he was a self-employed electrical contractor for 20 years. He retired as an electrician with the United States Bureau of Printing and Engraving. A charter member and former president of the trustee board of Potomac Park United Methodist Church, Mr. Crowe was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Fort Cumberland Lodge 211, AF&AM; Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Cumberland Algonquin Forest 140, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Ali Ghan Shrine Temple. Survivors include his widow, Thea Virginia (Thomas) Crowe; two daughters: Rita Lancaster, North Huntingdon; and Janet Jeter, Clermont, Fla.; two sons: Carl Crowe, Toms River, N.J.; and Paul Crowe, Lexington Park; seven grandchildren; one brother, Wilfred Crowe, Finzel, Md.; three sisters: Iva DeHaven, Winchester, Va.; Leatta McKenzie, Floral, and Evelyn Boone, LaVale, Md. Friends were received at the Potomac Park United Methodist Church where services were conducted Sunday at 5 p.m. by the Rev. George Widmyer and the Rev. William Sewers. Hunt Funeral Home in Waldorf Md., conducted, funeral services at noon Tuesday. Interment, Cheltenham Veterans Administration Cemetery. The Republic, November 26, 1987 [C1254]
